    There is one bank on Bequia, the Bank of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (BOSVG), located on Main Street near the port. The bank offers two ATMs, and both Eastern Caribbean Dollars (ECD) and US Dollars (USD) are widely accepted. The ECD is tied to the US Dollar at a rate of US$1 to EC$2.67.

    Yes, local SIM cards can be purchased at Digicel or Flow stores in Port Elizabeth.

    • Fresh Markets: Located around Port Elizabeth, with the best produce available on Fridays and Saturdays.
    • Seafood: Freshly caught fish, lobster, and conch can be purchased from Paget Farm or local vendors like Toko at the Step Down Bar.

  8. Are tips customary?
    A gratuity of at least 5% of the total rental rate is recommended and should be given to the person in charge to be shared fairly among the staff.

  9. What internet options are available?
    The property offers high-speed fibre optic internet. You will receive the access code upon arrival.

  10. What should I know about driving in Bequia?
    Driving is on the left-hand side of the road. To rent a vehicle, you will need to obtain a local driving permit, which rental agencies can assist with. Be cautious on narrow and winding roads.

  11. Are there any safety and conservation guidelines I should follow?

  • Energy Conservation: The property is carbon-neutral, so please ensure all lights, fans, and appliances are turned off when leaving the room.
  • No Smoking: Smoking is not allowed in any rooms or living areas. Please use the outside gardens.
  • Water Conservation: Water is solely supplied by rain. Please limit showers, turn off taps while lathering, and report any leaks immediately.
  • Windows and Doors: Ensure windows and doors facing the Northern and Eastern sides are closed when leaving to avoid rain soaking the rooms.
  • Delicate Mosquito Nets: Handle mosquito nets with care to avoid damage. Do not sit on them, and report any damages if they occur.
